The 13th annual Vail Film Festival in Vail, Colorado, starts today with the screening of Morris from America, a coming-of-age comedy about an American teenager in Germany directed by Chad Hartigan and starring Craig Robinson (The Office, Pineapple Express), and the festival will continue this weekend until 10 April.
On Saturday, the festival will present its awards for best feature, documentary, student, and short films, as well as the festival’s audience awards. Last year’s top prize at Vail went to Slow West, also the winner of the 2015 World Cinema Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. The Vail Film Festival is presented by the Colorado Film Institute, an organisation whose mission is to support independent film.
